About me!

My name is Megan Jannone! I am an artist and art educator from New Jersey. I studied at The College of New Jersey where I got my bachelors degree in art education. I teach AP Art History, Drawing and Animation at a High School and teach a teen art course at DuCret Center of Art. I have a passion for both creating and learning about art. I specialize in pet portraits, printmaking, and bug taxidermy. I am always opened to commissions so please check out my contact page if there is something that you would like that you don’t see on my website! I mostly sell my work at art markets and craft shows but will occasionally have work listed here for sale.

About the Specimens

All bug specimens are from Big Bugs which is a bug wholesale website that gets their specimens from butterfly aviaries. Butterflies and moths only like a few short weeks and all bugs are raised in the aviary to ensure they are safe from disease and predators. If there is a bug from a different source I will be stating it in the item description. All bugs are handled with care and love. The bugs arrive to me unmounted with their wings closed. I pin and mount all of the bugs myself (which is why prices may be high). If you have any other questions about the specimens please refer to Bic’s website.
